Cheney is a serial entrepreneur and private equity investor. Cheney is the co-founder and Group CEO of Apoidea, a leading technology company in AI transformation. Cheney is also the co-founder of Altive, a SFC-licensed asset management company with an AuM over 1.5 billion USD, wholly owned by Apoidea. Cheney is a non-executive board director at SEBA Bank, a volunteer board member at D.H. Chen Foundation’s Institute of Impact Strategy and a venture partner at Pacific Century Group.
Prior to Apoidea and Altive, Cheney was a M&A banker in TMT industry, leading clients’ investment in A.I. companies around the globe. Cheney started his career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Cheney was also a co-founder of Teach For Hong Kong and Kids’ Dream, two charitable organizations.
