“AI x Cultural Exchange” Summer Programme

This summer, MakerBay partnered with Nexperium, a science museum in Korea, to provide an exciting learning opportunity to learn artificial intelligence and exchange ideas with Korean students! You will meet the Korean students virtually to create a mobile app that supports Chinese and Korean in the two-day workshop. It will be a unique experience to learn Korean culture while practising speaking English!

Objectives

Design an app with your foreign friends to promote cultural exchange on one of the following topics!

Activities

August 12 (Day 1): Learning Artificial Intelligence (2 sessions)

Participants will learn the fundamentals of AI and try to design and develop mobile applications programmed with AI.

August 13 Day 2: Creating and Sharing (2 sessions)

Participants will work with a group of Korean students and apply knowledge to design a bilingual app that showcases different aspects of people’s lives in both places, from food, travel, pop culture to community.

Registration

You will develop a prototype of a mobile app under the guidance of mentors from MakerBay and Nexperium. At the end of the workshop, all teams will share your thoughts and discuss how can we apply AI to enrich our lives.
